A Standard Worth Elevating
Ty Williams Jr. is a second-generation leader bringing fresh vision and first-class care to the death care industry. With a deep respect for tradition and a calling to evolve how families experience loss, Ty has become a trusted figure for those navigating both unexpected goodbyes and intentional planning.
His Journey Started at Sixteen. His Purpose Hasn’t Changed Since.
Ty’s story began at just 16 years old, when he started working at Sarah L. Carter Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Florida — under the mentorship of one of the first African American women in Florida to build a funeral home from the ground up. There, he learned the sacred weight of the work: not just handling logistics, but holding space for families in their most vulnerable moments.
Ty was raised in a family where service, legacy, and excellence weren’t optional — they were a way of life. His father, Ty Sr., laid the foundation that Ty Jr. continues to build upon today.
Bringing a New Perspective to a Time Honored Profession
With years of industry experience and education from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, University of North Florida, and Florida State College of Jacksonville, Ty brings more than credentials, he brings vision.
His mission?
To redefine what funeral service can be. To make it less transactional and more transformational.
To ensure families feel empowered, not overwhelmed.
To guide not just with knowledge, but with care, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.
Ty’s approach fuses empathy with execution, offering a full-service experience that blends tradition with thoughtful innovation.
“I didn’t get into this profession just to be a person who pick’s up people loved ones and bury them. I got into it to be effective prior to death.”
"Serving Families with First-Class Care" Isn’t a Slogan, It’s a Standard.
Ty doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all services. Whether you’re a family in immediate need or planning proactively, he meets you with respect, patience, and professionalism.
His clients often say the same thing:
"He made us feel held when everything else felt heavy."
From 24/7 body removal to grief support and burial coordination, every detail is handled with excellence and empathy, because Ty knows this isn’t just a service, it’s someone’s story.
