Who we are
Ty Williams Jr. Funeral Home & Services is a full-service funeral home led by second-generation funeral director Ty Williams Jr. We handle everything from the first call to the final arrangements, and we plan each service around the family in front of us rather than a package written in advance.
Ty started in funeral service at sixteen at Sarah L. Carter Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Florida, under one of the first African American women in Florida to build a funeral home from the ground up. His father, Ty Sr., set the standard he works to now. He studied at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, the University of North Florida, and Florida State College of Jacksonville.
I didn't get into this profession just to pick up people's loved ones and bury them. I got into it to be effective prior to death.
